The reasons of this choice

In fabric steaming, the qualitative excellence of the working process was born from the gathering of some important and necessary elements: the optimum steam treatment, its right humidity and saturation, its efficient distribution in the steaming chamber.
Vapo 2000 is not only a plant: it is the wise result of 50 years of experience in steam “management” and in the art of finishing, applied to the best Italian textile tradition.

Arioli continuous steamers have always been distinguished for their particular steam conditioning system, allowing to optimize its water content to keep it constant in time, independently from the production conditions in the boiler.
Steam humidity and its constancy in time are basic elements for a good colour development and hygroscopics and urea reduction in the printing pastes.
Arioli steamers are therefore equipped with special devices forcing steam through water before entering the steaming chamber itself. Such a passage allows to optimise the water content of steam, increasing it when necessary, or keeping the water excess possibly present in the fluid.
These particular features of steam conditioning, together with humidifying devices which allow to prevent and control the exothermic reactions of fabrics and printing pastes, make our machines unique in their kind and are the basis for their success all over the world.

Conditioning steam is introduced into the chamber through special devices, containing depurated water, installed on the side walls.
Passing through the water, steam is enriched with humidity and loses excess heat due to pressure reduction.
The high humidity rate obtained in this way makes it the right fluid to facilitate the fibres opening for the colours fixation.
Steam is distributed very uniformly in the steaming chamber through motorfans fitted over the conditioning devices.
The massive circulation inside the chamber assures a uniform temperature. The chamber roof is heated up by steam coils assuring no drop condensation.
Special nozzles are fitted on fans in order to inject water at very high pressure, in case exothermic reactions of the colouring or the fabrics take place. The operation of these nozzles is differentiated in order to privilege the front of the chamber where the exothermic reactions are stronger.
The water injection is controlled by a PLC adjusting it according to what needed.

- Distribuzione differenziata vapore
- Differential steam distribution

- Sistema di saturazione
- Saturation system

The steam distribution inside the chamber must not be uniform, but concentrated in the front of the machine. The “games” take place in the first 5-6 loops: steam immediately condensates on the fabric. The exothermic reaction, due to steam condensation, to colours fixation and urea dissociation, takes place in a few seconds.
It is therefore obvious to concentrate the fresh steam feeding where these 3 very important phases take place.
To reach this purpose, we have developed a special injection system, concentrating about the 70% of the overall steam in the front part of the steam ager. Steam is cooled down and conditioned in special saturators installed out of the machine, before being injected in the chamber. This new system assures 3 main advantages:
- reduced steam consumption of about 30%
- urea concentration reduced of about 30-40% in the printing paste.

- Sistema rotazione bastoni
- Sticks rotation system
Vapo 2000 is the most technologically advanced among Arioli steam agers. The steaming chamber is closed and wholly made of AISI 430 titanium stainless steel.
The fabric is introduced through a slot in the front of the chamber, and extracted from a slot in the back. The said slots are built in a way to allow the fabric circulation and the exhausted steam outlet, without any drop formation and any air inlet.
The fabric is laid on loop carrying rods through the steaming chamber: the rods rotate around their axis to avoid the contact with the same area of the fabric for too long.
A special roller conveyor may be installed to carry the fabric from the chamber outlet to the front of the machine to be plaited.
The loop formation is achieved by means of a special variable pitch device.
The fabric content in the chamber is controlled by sensors allowing an optimum filling without loops overlapping.
The chamber insulation is obtained by means of highly insulating panels.
Round inspection windows to check fabric production progress are installed on the front and on the side walls of the machine.
A PLC adjusts machine speed according to the needed time and the chosen loop length: loop is therefore automatically adjustable.
2 side doors allow an easy access to the chamber for inspection and maintenance.
A wide range of models allow the right choice according to the most different production needs.
Stainless steel batteries heated up with thermo oil or high pressure superheated steam are installed over the motorfans to allow treatments in high temperature up to 190°C.
Special valves installed on the side walls allow to circulate air instead of steam, to achieve polymerization treatments with hot air up to 200°C.
Steam superheating or air heating with gas burners is also available.

Arioli steamers are equipped with a keyboard to program and check operative functions. With such a keyboard, connected to a PLC, the following functions may be managed:
- steady running - stop and rotation speed of steam exhausters
- steady running - stop and speed selection of recirculating fans
- steady running - stop and speed regulation of the selvedge expanders
- loop length adjustment
- working speed and time of treatment
- working process selection: saturated or superheated steam, hot air or cooling
- temperature selection and water consumption
After selecting the operating modes, it is possible to store them in a working recipe menu.
Also available are:
- a report where produced meters, working hours, stopping hours are shown
- an alarm menu to help troubleshooting
It is also possible to check the machine with ARIVISION special system (linked with the machine accessories chapter).
